One of our racers, Ariel, took 3D printing classes. For her project she did a 3D print of her racing gloves. Due to that project, she was able to get a grant that covered the cost for a 3D printer for the racing team where each racer can have custom made gloves. The plastic used for these is far more durable than the compounds they used previously. The designs are able to be saved and since it only takes about 4 hours for each glove, they can have new ones in a day if needed. It was pretty sharp to watch the machine. Today was the first time I had the chance to go over and see it running. Way to go Ariel!

Wait mom, get my good side. No, wait, this is my good side. Has the microwave gone off yet? Is my potpie done yet? Mom when you going to eat again, I hate this dog food stuff. I am wasting away. Mom...mom....mom... OH! MICROWAVE DING!

Another two banners designed, sent for print, and received. I did a set of 4 of these several years ago that we used non-stop at conferences. Since the information on them was outdated, I was asked to design new ones. There are a few things I have mastery at, even if I struggle to admit it.

As mentioned previously, sometimes the end product does not resemble the original sketches. I am happy to say that they were liked, a lot. I can only imagine what it would look like to an outsider when I am creating. Between my add and delete and add and change and then scrap it and start over, I bet I could cause some high anxiety. It is not that I am a perfectionist, I just know what I want and sometimes that means coming up with a lot of "no, that isn't it" moments.

35 asked me about doing her a website, logo, and mascot for her business. This is what happens when you start brainstorming ideas for a project. And, as usual, what you sketch on paper never seems to be the final product, yet it does get ideas going and creation started.
