Photo of the day - Jan 30

I was not sure what I was going to do for my picture today. Being inside and asleep most of the day I did not have much selection and I wasn't going to use Tess as a "fill in."

So, what is that adapter thingy?? A few weeks ago, my sister called me all excited. She said she had something for me and was going to bring it by. It was this little piece of metal adapter hardware. She says, "Now you can hook up the Atari to the flat screen!!!" Yes, it is an adapter to give me that ultimate power!

I have not made it too far yet in regards to getting it set up. Maybe tomorrow.

Tonight in my Netflix searching for something to watch, I found a documentary on Atari and the attempt to prove the urban legend that Atari had buried all remaining ET games in a landfill because the game sucked and they took such a loss on it. It was really good and gave a good history on Atari and why they closed (and it had nothing to do with the ET game). Throughout the show, it would have them excavating at the landfill, not knowing if they would find it or not.

In the end, they found the ET cartridges, yet not millions of them, they actually found many different games, essentially a warehouse clear-out. When I got my Atari 2600 several years ago, I got a good load of games with it.....including ET. It is a nice variety, yet what was the "SOLD!" for me was that it had pitfall, which has always been my favorite.

Long live Atari.
